Snowfall stats for the winter of 2021-22

Areas from the western U.S. to the upper Midwest, Great Lakes to the northeast U.S. have been the places to be if you like snow this winter, although parts of the Northland are still running below normal in snowfall this season by a half foot to a foot or more, but with a snowier pattern setting up this week we should see our snowfall deficits get smaller or disappear altogether.

Snowfall stats for the winter of 2021-22 (thru December 25, 2021)

Duluth, MN

Season to Date Snowfall Total: 17.9″ (56% of normal)
Normal to date: 32.0″
Departure: -14.1″ below normal

International Falls, MN

Season to Date Snowfall Total: 18.9″ (71% of normal)
Normal to date: 26.5″
Departure: -7.6″ below normal
