June 2022 featured average to slightly warmer than average temperatures in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
Rainfall for the month varied considerably, with Ashland recording their 2nd driest June on record, while above average rainfall occurred at International Falls for June 2022.
Not a lot of thunderstorm activity in the Northland during the 1st half of June, but thunderstorm activity did pick up in parts of the area during the 2nd half of June, with Duluth recording 9 days with thunder, the most out of the 5 climate sites in the Northland.

Average monthly temperatures in the Northland for June 2022 ranged from right at average at International Falls to a little over +2 degrees warmer than average at Brainerd.
Much of northwest Wisconsin, far eastern Minnesota and the Arrowhead of Minnesota saw a dry June, while parts of north-central Minnesota saw more frequent rains last month.
