-Expect some wet weather at times in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin tonight through early Friday morning as will see a few rounds of rain pass through the area along with some drizzle, and some fog is also possible especially near Lake Superior.
-Colder air begins to move into far northwest portions of the area Thursday night which will cause the rain to mix with and change to a few hours of snow late Thursday night into Friday morning with those snow chances greatest in far northern Minnesota, or generally north of a line from around Northome to Ely.
-Snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible late Thursday night/Friday morning in far northern Minnesota including for the International Falls, Littlefork, Big Falls, Margie and Crane Lake areas, with less than 1 inch of snow for the rest of far northern Minnesota.
-Northeast winds will become quite gusty near Lake Superior and in the Twin Ports on Thursday with wind gusts of 20 to 35 mph.
-Friday is also looking blustery as winds shift to the northwest with gusts to 25 mph, and those northwest winds will also be ushering in a much colder airmass.
-Scattered flurries and snow showers are possible across the entire Northland Friday afternoon through the weekend, but no significant snow accumulations are expected.
-Afternoon temperatures in the upper 20s to upper 30s across the Northland this weekend into the middle of next week with nighttime/morning temps in the 10s and 20s.

Note — No snow in Duluth through Friday morning, but we likely will see some flurries and snow showers at times Friday afternoon through the weekend but with very little if any snow accumulation.

Greatest precipitation amounts of an inch or more in far northern Minnesota with totals ranging from around 0.25 inches to 0.75 inches for the rest of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
A pretty wild pattern right now as we begin to see winter assert itself, or at least make an attempt to do that for the long run, but how successful that will be only time will tell.
Multiple systems lined up from northwest to southeast across the U.S. and Canada today while Hurricane Tammy lifts northeast across the Atlantic Ocean.

We will see a more organized area of low pressure develop over eastern Nebraska Thursday morning, and that low lifts northeast to between Duluth, Minnesota and Ashland, Wisconsin by around daybreak Friday.
Winter chill over the northern Rockies into parts of the northern Plains today while summer warmth holds on a little longer across the southern/eastern U.S. today.
