Chances for some precipitation return to the Northland late this weekend into early next week but this does look like a warmer system meaning that most if not all of the precipitation will be in the form of rain, except perhaps in extreme northern Minnesota where we could see a rain/snow mix at times but the greatest chances for snow accumulations of >1″ is forecast to be north of the border across parts of Ontario early next week.
A second system could affect parts of the Northland sometime next Tuesday-Wednesday but there is a great deal of uncertainty on the track of that system and whether or not it would bring any precipitation to the Northland, and if it does what would the main precipitation type be? Stay tuned.
Temperatures finally climbed back above 40 in Duluth today with a high of 42 (normal high on 11/2 is 44) The last time we saw a temperature of at least 40 in Duluth was on October 27, with a high of 43, so really not that long ago, although it seems like it’s been quite a while.
One year ago on today’s date (11/2) we had record breaking warmth across the Northland. Check out the record highs which were set on November 2, 2022.
