An area of low pressure over the northern Rockies late this afternoon will track east into South Dakota tonight, this low will then lift northeast toward the Fargo area by Wednesday evening and will reach southeast Manitoba Canada by daybreak on Thursday.
This system will produce accumulating snow in far northern North Dakota into far northwest Minnesota Wednesday into early Thursday morning.
The Northland will be too far southeast of the low along with the better forcing so we’re only looking at a little snow or rain at times Wednesday into Thursday morning with most of the precipitation we see tied to the warm front and cold front which will be moving through our area, and the better chances for getting a little precipitation Wednesday into early Thursday morning looks to be over north central and northeast Minnesota with lower chances in northwest Wisconsin.

Winter Weather Advisory is in effect Wednesday into Thursday morning in far northeast North Dakota into far northwest Minnesota.
It’s an active pattern right now but the Northland will escape much of this active weather the next several days.

It doesn’t look like will be getting much precipitation in northeast Minnesota or northwest Wisconsin at least through early next week as the storm track favors areas to our northwest, and then farther to our south later this week.
Still seeing a nice temperature contrast across the region with arctic air continuing over much of central Canada while warmer temperatures covered the central Plains today.
