A low-pressure system has settled into northeast Wisconsin by mid-afternoon, with its core positioned between Wausau and Green Bay, exhibiting a central pressure of approximately 998 millibars.
This afternoon, rain persisted over Minnesota’s Arrowhead region, while drizzle and light rain affected other parts of the Northland. The rain is expected to taper off from west to east across the Northland by evening.
Far northeast Minnesota and far northern Wisconsin may receive an additional tenth to a quarter inch of rain through this evening, with the potential for locally higher amounts, particularly over Minnesota’s Arrowhead region.
Reduced rainfall is expected further west and south, including Duluth, for the remainder of the afternoon.
