The Northland has experienced an exceptionally wet month, with rainfall totals surpassing the normal by +2 to nearly +5 inches. However, International Falls remains an outlier, facing a rainfall shortage of almost half an inch for the month.

- 1:00 PM: Flood. 4 NE Grand Marais, MN (Cook County) Water over road at several locations on County Road 60. Culvert blocked on Lindskog Road. Minor flooding occurring.
- 11:59 AM: Flood. 8 ENE Grand Marais, MN (Cook County) Flooding reported between Linnell Road and Kellys Hill.
Showers may continue to pass through parts of the Northland tonight and into Saturday, with the possibility of a few thunderstorms mainly tonight. Widespread rain is not anticipated tonight or Saturday, but heavy downpours could occur if you find yourself under one of these showers.

Update on the system for early next week
Rain chances are expected to return to the Northland on Monday and into Monday night. Currently, it appears that the majority of Monday afternoon’s rainfall will occur over northern Minnesota, with the likelihood of rain increasing further south towards the Twin Ports, eastern Minnesota, and northwest Wisconsin by Monday evening or overnight (after 7 PM Monday).
