June in the Northland was marked by temperatures close to normal and rainfall significantly above average, yet International Falls experienced less rainfall than usual for the month.

In June 2024, Duluth experienced only two days with temperatures at or above 80 degrees, whereas the average is five such days.
In Duluth, 43% of the days in June had temperatures below the average (indicated by blue), whereas 37% experienced above-average warmth (represented by red).

In June 2024, the average temperatures in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin were nearly at normal levels.

Duluth, MN: 61.5 degrees, +0.3 degrees above normal

Hibbing, MN: 59.4 degrees, +0.5 degrees above normal
Last month, the most significant temperature deviations occurred over the southern Rockies and the southwest U.S., where it was more than 5 degrees above the average.

In Duluth, there were only eight rain-free days in June. The longest stretch without rain last month lasted for two days, occurring from June 9th to 10th and again from the 24th to 25th.
