Parts of the Northland experienced a significant rain event from Wednesday afternoon to early Thursday morning, recording substantial rainfall totals ranging from half an inch to nearly three-quarters of an inch across areas from Brainerd and Moose Lake to the Twin Ports and up the North Shore of Lake Superior, extending to Isabella. Among the highest reported rainfall measurements were 0.83 inches at French River and 0.75 inches at Esko.
Reduced rainfall was reported in the far northern regions of Minnesota and in the southern areas of northwest Wisconsin.
