Northern Wisconsin Severe Thunderstorm Watch and Flash Flood Warning

  • Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for parts of northern Wisconsin until 4 AM Tuesday.
  • Some cities in the Northland included in this watch are…Namekagon, Winter, Morse, Glidden and Butternut.
  • Primary severe weather threats include damaging wind gusts of 60 to 75 mph and large hail to 1.5 inches in diameter.

Flash Flood Warning in effect until 11:45 PM tonight for southwest Burnett County in northwest Wisconsin including the cities of Trade Lake, Trade River, Branstad, and Four Corners.

Thunderstorms producing heavy rain are occurring across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as poor drainage and low-lying areas are expected.
