The warm weather pattern is expected to persist throughout this week and possibly into the following week as well.
This afternoon, temperatures soared into the 90s across parts of the Dakotas, with Philip, SD hitting a high of 100 degrees at 5 PM, and Rapid City, SD approaching the 100-degree mark.
Northeast Minnesota experienced temperatures in the lower 80s this afternoon, while northwest Wisconsin had upper 70s to about 80. However, a lake breeze today has resulted in cooler temperatures, ranging from the mid-60s to low 70s near Lake Superior.

- International Falls, MN: 82, +13 degrees above normal
- Hibbing, MN: 81, +12 degrees above normal
- Duluth, MN: 79, +9 degrees above normal
- Ashland, WI: 78, +6 degrees above normal
