There’s quite a bit to talk about when it comes to the weather that will impact the Northland over the next seven days or so.
-First up is the wind and that that wind will be gusty through Monday. Northwest winds tonight will change to southwest on Sunday, then back to northwest on Monday. Expect wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph tonight through Monday, with some gusts possibly exceeding 40 mph.

Ashland: 33 mph
International Falls: 32 mph
Hibbing: 30 mph
-Next up are the temperatures, which will vary a lot. We had milder temperatures in the 20s across the Northland today, but colder air is coming back, although it won’t be as cold as earlier this week. Lows tonight will range from about 5 below to 5 above zero in the area.
-This cold snap will be brief, as warmer temperatures will come back on Sunday and last through Tuesday, with highs in the 20s and 30s, the warmest being Monday and Tuesday.
A cold snap may happen midweek, then warm weather will follow late next week.
-And last but not least, a system currently impacting California may eventually impact the Northland sometime next weekend.
