Duluth area: Some more precipitation is expected to develop later this afternoon after 2 PM, and this precipitation could fall as either wet snow or rain, with a transition to all snow before the precipitation ends this evening. An inch or less of additional snow accumulation is possible in Duluth by this evening.
HRRR model simulated radar forecast through 3 AM Monday morning.

NWS Blend of Models additional snowfall accumulations through late tonight.

Kind of a disorganized system crossing the upper Midwest today as we have two separate waves, one across northern Minnesota and the other lifting northeast across Wisconsin.
Goes-16 enhanced water vapor loop ending 10:36 AM CT Sunday, March 23, 2025.

The northern wave has produced an area of snow across northern Minnesota this morning, with reports of about 1 to 3 inches of snow thus far. Snow continues to fall in that area late this morning, as that area sits far enough to the north where lift is strongest to produce bands of snow. This area will also be in the deformation zone (NW side of the system) once the surface low moves into Wisconsin this afternoon.

Mid and upper-level troughs with decent 500mb height falls will continue to track east out of western Minnesota today, and this trough should promote some enhanced lift in parts of the Northland, which will continue to produce some precipitation through tonight.

Radar loop ends 10:58 AM Sunday, March 23, 2025.
