One trough has exited the Northland this afternoon, but a new trough will quickly replace it as it tracks east-northeast out of the northern Rockies tonight. This next system will bring scattered showers to the Northland Tuesday, but this precipitation shouldn’t be as widespread as what we saw in parts of the Northland earlier today.
Rainfall totals ranging from 0.1 to 0.25 inches or more are expected Tuesday in north-central areas of Minnesota, with amounts between a trace and 0.15 inches possible in northeastern and eastern Minnesota as well as northwestern Wisconsin.

NAM 3km model simulated radar forecast valid from 1 AM Tuesday to 7 AM Wednesday.
