A cool night is in store with clouds gradually clearing and winds settling down. Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 30s to 40s in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, while some areas in northern Minnesota and the Arrowhead could see mid 30s and possible patchy frost early Monday morning. Frost is not expected in Duluth or Superior tonight.

Hibbing: 32 set in 2008
International Falls: 32 set in 1950
Brainerd: 33 set in 1917
Duluth: 40 set in 1950

Departure: -17 degrees below normal

Note: No new record cold high temperatures were set or matched in the Northland today. However, Ashland came within 1 degree of its record cold high of 59 degrees set in 2015, while Duluth and Hibbing both came within 2 degrees of their record cold high of 55 degrees, which was set in 1914 for Duluth and in 2015 for Hibbing.
