Record Low Temperatures in Northland – October 8, 2025

Some areas in the Northland experienced temperatures dipping into the upper teens this morning, while many other places saw widespread sub-freezing conditions.

-Hibbing, Minnesota set a new record low of 19 degrees this morning for October 8, breaking the previous record of 20 degrees set in 2000. Just four days ago, on October 4, Hibbing set a new record high of 84 degrees!

-This morning, International Falls, Minnesota set a new record low of 19 degrees for October 8, beating the previous record of 20 degrees set in 1917 and 2000.

-Normal lows in the Northland on October 8 usually range from the lower to upper 30s, but this morning’s temperatures were about 10 to 15 degrees colder than average.
