On Friday, the Northland will experience a very mild airmass for mid-November, with 850mb temperatures (around 5,000 feet up) reaching about +13 to +15°C, roughly +2.5 sigma above average for this time of year. While this much warmth aloft could push surface temperatures into the 70s with enough mixing and longer days, the shorter November daylight will likely keep highs in the 50s, with some spots hitting the 60s—still well above normal for mid-November.
This weekend will bring cooler, more typical weather, with daytime highs in the 30s to low 40s and nighttime lows dipping into the teens and 20s. Winds will also pick up, with northwesterly gusts reaching around 20 to 30 mph.
A cold front will move through Friday night, possibly bringing a few light showers to northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, but rainfall will be minimal, likely between just a trace and 0.05 inches.
Another system, the one that will be hitting California in the next few days, will likely miss the Northland to the south early next week. So it’s looking likely that we will go at least another 7 days with very little precipitation (rain or snow) across the Northland.

Very pleasant late fall weather across the area today with widespread temperatures in the 50s. Normal highs on November 13th vary between the mid 30s and low 40s.
