The most recent rainfall didn’t make much of a difference to the ongoing drought in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
As of November 18th, 2025, severe drought covered 4% of Minnesota, up from 2% the previous week, while moderate drought affected 30%, an increase from 22%. Additionally, 74% of the state was abnormally dry, up from 62% last week.
Severe drought now covers 12% of Wisconsin, a jump from just 1% last week. Moderate drought affects 56% of the state, up from 38%, and 95% of the state is abnormally dry, rising from 78% the week before.
