Snow Tonight; Near 40 by Wednesday Afternoon

Around an inch of fluffy snow is expected tonight, with milder temperatures moving in on Wednesday. Highs will reach the upper 30s to low 40s, causing some of the snow to melt by the afternoon.

Light snow is expected in Duluth tonight, tapering off after midnight, with up to an inch of accumulation.

A significant heat wave is developing across the southwestern U.S. and will spread north and east in the coming days, while chilly air from central to eastern Canada continues moving into the upper Midwest, Great Lakes, and much of the eastern U.S. today.

Note: The low temperature of -11 degrees in Duluth today, March 17th is the 5th lowest temperature ever recorded on this date dating back to 1875.
