A low pressure system lifting northeast out of the northern Plains will bring some rain to northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
For Duluth, it looks like most of the rain will fall Friday night into early Saturday morning, starting sometime between 7 and 10 PM on Friday.
Most of the widespread rain in the Northland will fall Friday night into early Saturday morning, with a chance of a few popup showers Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday. Overall, the trend points to mostly dry conditions for the rest of the weekend after the early Saturday rain.

The next system is set to bring the heaviest rain to parts of west-central Minnesota and the eastern Dakotas, with rainfall totals likely between half an inch and an inch.
Less rain is expected in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, with totals of about 0.10 to 0.35 inches.
Early Friday morning could bring more frost to parts of northeast Minnesota and a small section of northwest Wisconsin, with temperatures dipping to around 32 degrees.
Note: A warming trend is on the way for the Northland early next week, with highs climbing into the 70s and 80s from Sunday through Tuesday. However, a daily lake breeze could keep temperatures noticeably cooler near Lake Superior.
It was another frosty start across parts of the Northland Thursday morning, with temperatures dipping into the mid-20s and low to mid-30s.
Ashland, Wisconsin matched its record low of 27 degrees for May 21st on Thursday morning, a mark first reached in 1986 and again in 2002.
In Ashland, the average date for the last low of 27 degrees or colder is May 13, with the latest on record being June 5, 1945.
