🌧️ Northern Minnesota gets over an inch of rain, with amounts tapering off quickly to the south.

Thunderstorms drenched northern Minnesota on Monday night, with many areas receiving between half an inch and over an inch of rain.

Bigfork topped the list with 1.24 inches, followed by Cass Lake at 1.11 inches, International Falls at 1.09 inches, and Walker with 1.03 inches.

Early Tuesday morning, storms brought 0.32 inches of rain to Hermantown, while the Duluth Airport saw 0.26 inches.

As expected, rain totals dropped off significantly farther south, especially in eastern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, where amounts were generally less than 0.1 inches.
