Rain in Duluth will taper off this evening by around 7 or 8 PM, leaving dry conditions overnight and into Sunday.
Sunday will be breezy, with northwest winds gusting between 15 and 25 mph.
On Sunday, highs in the Northland will range from the mid-50s to the low and mid-60s, which is pretty typical for early October.

Today’s system isn’t particularly impressive in terms of surface low pressure, which is just 1012 mb or 29.88 inches, but it makes up for it with some pretty remarkable dynamics in the upper levels.

A jet streak hitting 90 knots was observed over the Dakotas this afternoon, with another of similar strength positioned north of Lake Superior. Between these two streaks, notable divergence formed from central to eastern Minnesota into northern Wisconsin, producing widespread moderate rain and a few embedded thunderstorms earlier in the day. There were also a couple reports of small hail, about 0.25 inches in diameter, in far northwest Wisconsin and near Ely, MN.
