Welcome to my blog. I have been sharing my insights on the weather since 2009. Initially, I began blogging on e-blogger and transitioned to WordPress in 2017. Before that, I shared my weather forecasts on Myspace in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Typically, I post at least once daily, more often if the weather is active, but I may not post when the weather is calm. My blog primarily covers the weather for northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, focusing on the Twin Ports of Duluth and Superior. Subscriptions to my blog are available at $8 per month or $60 annually.

  • Rain at Times Tonight; More Rain Returns Early Next Week

A cold front is moving east from western Minnesota this afternoon, bringing plenty of convergence both near and ahead of it. There’s been plenty of cloud cover ahead of this boundary today, limiting the heating, but even so, instability is on the rise. Whether it’s surface-based or elevated, CAPE values are ranging from a few…

  • Summerlike 80s/90s in MN Today, Turning Showery Thursday

Tonight, a warm front will lift north out of southern Minnesota but this front will likely grind to a halt once it reaches the Northland, and that front will then be overtaken by a cold front which tracks eastward out of western Minnesota on Thursday. A few showers or thunderstorms may pop up near the…
