Saturday looks like a nice fall day in the Northland, although it will be cooler in far northern Minnesota with more clouds and possible showers. The colder temps sitting north of our area on Saturday will push farther south for Sunday.

Computer models remain in very good agreement in showing a classic cold weather pattern for the upper Midwest and northern Plains roughly from September 28 through October 4 — Note timing could change a bit. We’re looking at lows in the 20s and 30s in the Northland with daytime highs holding in the 40s, and in some locations highs might not get out of the 30s next weekend into early the following week! Certainly looking at a potential for record or a top 5 coldest high and low temp on record for some locations in the Northland next weekend!
