…Winter Storm Watch… issued for parts of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin from Sunday evening through Monday morning, and from Sunday evening through Monday afternoon for the North Shore and Arrowhead.

Note:  I’ll be updating my snowfall map later this Saturday afternoon.

Not much has changed in the 00z model guidance overnight.

Snow begins Sunday evening with the heaviest snow expected to fall overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

Snow tapers off Monday afternoon.

Combination of lake enhanced snow and Orographic lifting along the North Shore of Lake Superior should give that area 6 to 10 inches or more of snow by Monday afternoon.

The remainder of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin could see anywhere from 3 to 8 inches of snow with the lesser amounts in far western areas (Brainerd Lakes area)

I’ll have more updates on this winter storm later today.
