Still looking at a chance for a little snow or rain across the Northland tonight, but this doesn’t look like a big deal. Snowfall accumulations ranging from a dusting to an inch with the greatest chance for an inch of snow over the tip of the Arrowhead (Grand Marais, Hovland areas) Precip totals of a trace to around 0.05 inches are possible in parts of the area by 7 AM Friday.
Might not be done with the snow quite yet!
I’ll be monitoring model trends closely in coming days to see if they continue to show a storm for the middle of next week, and if they do, what track will it take? Lots of possibilities out there right now which isn’t surprising for a storm that is several days away.
Note: Black lines on map indicate possible storm tracks for April 10-12.
It can snow around here in April, I know that may be shocking to some of you, but it’s really not that unusual! Duluth averages nearly 7 inches of snow in April, and just last April on the 15th, Duluth picked up a foot of snow!
