There is still some uncertainty on how far north the rain makes it this weekend with cold, stable and dry air advecting south off the Hudson Bay high, this could keep a lot of the rain south of the Northland this weekend, but whether it rains or not, temperatures look chilly especially near Lake Superior where gusty northeast winds are also expected.

Still looking at an active weather pattern the next few weeks, possibly for the remainder of this month. It won’t rain continuously through May 29, but there will be several opportunities to get some rain through the next 2 weeks. With soils already wet across much of the upper Midwest and with the type of pattern that will be setting up, flooding could become widespread over the next few weeks in the Northern/Central Plains and upper Midwest.
