Who’s ready for more rain?

Rain lifts north/northeast through the Northland this evening and overnight with some more rain expected at times during the day Wednesday, most widespread in north-central and east-central Minnesota while the rain is forecast to be more scattered in northwest Wisconsin.

Strong northeast winds tonight and Wednesday with gusts 20 to 30 mph, possibly gusting as high as 40 mph especially near Lake Superior.

Warm to the north, warm in the southeast U.S.; but in between it’s quite cool for late May.  It even snowed today in parts of western Nebraska.

A very cool Wednesday ahead with highs ranging from the lower 60s in far southern portions of the area to the 50s elsewhere, it’ll be even cooler near Lake Superior with highs only in the 40s along with strong northeasterly winds gusting to around 30 mph for most of the day.  Note:  Normal highs on May 22 are in the mid to upper 60s.

.Tonight…  Windy.  Rain developing between 10 PM and Midnight, rain overnight.  Areas of fog.  Low 38 to 43.  Wind east to northeast 15 to 30 mph.

.Wednesday…  Windy and cool.  Occasional showers.  Fog and drizzle also possible.  High 43 to 48.  Wind east to northeast 15 to 30 mph.

.Thursday…  Mostly cloudy with a few peeks of sun.  Isolated showers possible.  High 53 to 58.  Wind west to northwest 10 to 20 mph.
