Weather pattern consists of an unusually strong/deep trough for this time of the year across the western U.S.; a ridge across the southeast U.S.; in between the trough and ridge is the favored storm track which is leading to very wet and stormy weather from the Plains to the upper Midwest.

Will have a couple days mixed in with temperatures close to average or even a little above average, but the overall trend is for cool/below normal temps to linger in the Northland for a while longer.
