1″+ rain totals reported over western portions of the Northland Friday evening-early Saturday morning; Very little rain over the Greenwood fire

Good news bad news with last night’s rain. I’ll start with the good news – Much of northwest, west-central and parts of northern Minnesota received a good soaking last night, and its those areas that are currently in Exceptional and Extreme drought, so last night’s rain likely helped at least a little bit.

The bad news would be the lack of rain which fell in northeast Minnesota, and also over the Greenwood fire.

Here’s a look at much rain fell Friday-early Saturday.
