The first half of November 2021 was warmer than average by +2 to +3 degrees in the Northland.

It’s been a wet November thus far with 1 to nearly 2 inches of precipitation reported in the Northland, while some locations near Lake Superior have picked up 3 or more inches of precipitation so far this month.

Duluth, MN: 170% of normal
Ashland, WI: 168% of normal

Snowfall totals so far this month have ranged from around 4 to 7 inches across much of north-central Minnesota to around 2 to 4 inches in much of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

Snowfall totals were 175 to nearly 500% of normal across the northwest half of Minnesota during the first half of November 2021, in other words well above normal, while southern Minnesota had below normal snowfall (5 to 25% of normal) during the first half of November 2021.
