The next few days will remain precipitation free in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
Cold tonight with subzero temperatures in parts of the Northland, but temperatures will warm above freezing during the afternoons from Friday through Sunday and temperatures could be as warm as the low to even mid 40s in some parts of the Northland.
There is some potential for a more active pattern to setup once again across the upper Midwest mid to late next week but there is plenty of time for things to change.

The main hazard with severe storms through tonight is from large hail, potentially bigger than golf ball size (1.75″ diameter) with severe thunderstorm watches in effect through late this evening from parts of north Texas through central/eastern Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas and southern Missouri.
Lots of warm, humid and unstable air south of a cold frontal boundary (blue line on map) this afternoon.
Widespread 60+ degree dew point temperatures stretching from central Texas all the way north to southern Indiana this afternoon.

Low pressure swinging NE out of the southern Plains and deepening while doing so could bring a swath of heavy snow to far northern Illinois, southern/eastern Wisconsin, northern Lower Michigan and eastern Upper Michigan on Saturday.
