POWER OUTAGE UPDATE

Minnesota Power reports 31 active outages affecting 7,545 customers just before 1:30 PM today.

LAKESHORE FLOODING

Lakeshore Flood Warning in effect until 11 PM this evening.

Significant lakeshore flooding expected near Lake Superior affecting the Canal Park area of Duluth.

Flood waters may affect sidewalks and parking lots near Lake Superior. Roads and portions of roads may be closed due to the flooding.

Large waves up to 15 feet with no ice coverage along with prolonged gale to storm force wind gusts out of the northeast will result in piling up of water in the Twin Ports area which will likely result in coastal flooding. Portions of Harbor Drive behind the DECC and Helberg drive may become flooded.

The next round of steadier and heavier precipitation continues to lift north through parts of the Northland as of mid-afternoon.

Pretty much every precipitation type is occurring depending on the temperature, with snow to the west/northwest, rain to the southeast, and in between a mixture of snow, rain, sleet and some freezing rain.
