Much cooler temperatures will return to areas near Lake Superior including the Twin Ports on Friday with highs in the 40s and 50s, with even cooler temperatures mainly in the 40s on Saturday. Gusty northeast winds to 25 mph will develop near the lake on Friday with stronger winds for Saturday with wind gusts to 40 mph.
Farther inland from Lake Superior temperatures will remain on the warm side on Friday with highs mostly in the 70s followed by slightly cooler temps on Saturday with highs in the 60s to lower 70s.
Scattered showers are possible mainly over southern portions of the Northland Friday and Friday night with mainly dry weather expected in far northern Minnesota and for the Arrowhead.
Duluth area: Some showers are possible at times on Friday. This weekend still looks dry.
