Scattered showers and thunderstorms moved through parts of far eastern into northeast Minnesota and parts of northwest Wisconsin late Sunday afternoon into early Sunday evening. These storms produced brief heavy downpours along with several reports of sub-severe hail mostly the size of a pea, but a few larger hail stones of around 0.50 inch to 0.70 inch in diameter were observed in northwest Wisconsin, as well as 1 mile southwest of Duluth, Minnesota, with even one report of quarter size hail in northwest Wisconsin, 11 miles west of Drummond.
