This morning, a band of rain and thunderstorms traveled east/northeast over a large portion of northwest Wisconsin, delivering rainfall amounts that varied from one-quarter of an inch to almost three-quarters of an inch.
In far eastern Minnesota, stretching north to the Twin Ports, lighter rain totals were recorded on the western edge of this rainy area. Totals included about a quarter inch of rain in Hinckley and just 0.01 inches in Duluth.

Warm front has a long way to go as its still way down in northern Iowa early this afternoon.
All of the heavier showers and thunderstorms have been well south/east of Duluth so far today due to the warm front being so far south.

Showers and thunderstorms will persist, moving east-northeast across southern and central Minnesota and into parts of Wisconsin this afternoon.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move through northern Minnesota and may reach the Duluth area late this evening or during the overnight hours, but until then it should remain mostly dry.
Note: The likelihood of flooding in the Duluth area has significantly diminished through at least Tuesday morning, according to recent trends from computer models.
