The upcoming days are expected to be mild and mostly dry in the Northland. However, the likelihood of rain will rise later in the week, with precipitation anticipated on both Thursday and Friday due to a low-pressure system moving east-northeast from northwest Iowa. The system should shift sufficiently eastward by the weekend, suggesting a return to predominantly dry weather for Saturday and Sunday, as it currently appears.

Ensemble models show a strong consensus on the expected rainfall amounts with the upcoming system later this week. It appears that a significant portion of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin could receive at least half an inch of rain, with the possibility of more than an inch in certain areas.
