Forecast: Rain, Snow, and Temperature Changes Ahead

It has been a while since there have been consecutive days with the potential for precipitation. This is due to an upper-level trough predicted to move southeastward and strengthen over the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, and northeastern U.S. later this weekend into early next week.

Note: Duluth Airport has not recorded a quarter inch or more of precipitation for exactly 45 days, or just over six weeks. The most recent instance of such rainfall was on August 27th. However, the upcoming weekend could potentially conclude this prolonged period of dryness.
