Rainfall Roundup: Flanders Fire, Stewart Trail Fire, and Northland Totals

The first wave of rain brought just over a quarter inch to Duluth, while much lighter amounts fell across the rest of northeast Minnesota.

Early Monday morning, rainfall over and around the Flanders Fire, east of Breezy Point, Minnesota, was minimal, with totals generally under 0.05 inches based on radar data and reports.

As of Sunday evening’s latest update, the Flanders Fire had burned 1,666 acres and was 20% contained.

…Stewart Trail Fire rainfall…

Early Monday morning, rainfall around the Stewart Trail Fire near Two Harbors, Minnesota, was mostly less than 0.10 inches, with heavier showers to the southwest, where about a quarter inch fell near Larsmont.

By Sunday evening, the Stewart Trail Fire was 62% contained and had burned 355 acres.

Early Monday morning, rainfall totals across northwest Wisconsin varied widely, ranging from about 0.05 inches to as much as 0.40 inches.

Rainfall in the northern parts of the region early Monday morning was noticeably lighter.
