High pressure is moving eastward from the Dakotas tonight and will settle over the upper Midwest by Sunday. This shift will bring about a delightful early summer day, featuring sunshine, significantly lighter winds than today, and agreeable temperatures, with highs expected in the low to mid-70s.
As high pressure shifts eastward on Monday, southerly winds will emerge in its wake. Concurrently, moisture levels are expected to rise with the approach of low pressure and associated warm and cold fronts into the northern Plains. Showers and possibly a few thunderstorms are anticipated to develop or spread into the Northland by Monday afternoon or evening. The likelihood of rain is greatest in northern Minnesota during the late afternoon to early evening, with increasing chances extending southward into eastern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin by late Monday night.
Duluth area: Dry conditions are anticipated for Sunday and throughout Monday. However, the likelihood of scattered showers rises on Monday night, particularly after around 9 or 10 PM, according to current predictions.
