Duluth received almost 2 inches of rain over the past week, totaling 1.87 inches from three separate events: 0.59 inches on August 31, 0.83 inches on September 2, and 0.45 inches on September 4.

The average precipitation in Duluth from August 29 to September 5 is 0.96 inches, meaning we’ve seen around 195% of the typical rainfall over the past week. In short, it’s been pretty wet lately.

Much of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin picked up between a quarter to half an inch of rain from Thursday afternoon to early Friday morning, with some parts of northwest Wisconsin seeing upwards of 0.75 inches of rain.
