Six tornadoes touched down in western Minnesota early Monday evening, with one causing two reported injuries about three miles south of Westbury at 7:58 PM.
There were also reports of wind damage in the Brainerd Lakes area, connected to a line of severe thunderstorms on Monday evening.

9:25 PM: Thunderstorm Wind Damage. 1 N Breezy Point, MN (Crow Wing County). 4 healthy oak trees 6-to-10-inch diameter were uprooted.
8:55 PM: Thunderstorm Wind Damage. 6 NNW Pontoria, MN (Cass County). 10–12-inch diameter oak trees down on Baby Lake east of Hackensack.
8:40 PM: Thunderstorm Wind Damage. 6 S Walker, MN (Cass County). Report of a tree down.
Rainfall Reports for July 6-7, 2026
Rainfall totals came in higher than expected farther east, from Ely to Duluth, with reports of a half inch or more late Monday night. However, amounts dropped off quickly in northwest Wisconsin, with just 0.01 inch in Ashland and 0.02 inches in Hayward.
On Monday night, the highest rainfall totals were 1.25 inches in Pleasant Valley, MN, and 1.16 inches in Floodwood.
